Good morning! This happened again, so I went in armed with these workaround steps and it turns out it was actually a cloud assignment. So, she did the work right there and hit the submit button. No uploads, no drag and drop, not even a sharing issue to be had. I know that Google Assignments are being updated. Do we know if cloud assignments are therefore being phased out and maybe getting glitchy?

I also have one teacher experiencing this right now. Only a few students, but the only way to view their docs in Speedgrader is by downloading them. This is happening on Google Cloud Assignments for this teacher.

You can see all of their attempts - there will be a drop-down in speedgrader to choose which one you are looking at, or you can see each of their attempts through moderate.

@kotik_mar Hello! I think your question pertained to the grading of the ordering question? Unfortunately, in New Quizzes the all or nothing grading is the only option on matching, multiple answer and ordering, and perhaps others that I'm not recalling right now. It's one of my main complaints about New Quizzes (I am otherwise I pretty big fan overall). People have been asking for Canvas to remedy this for a long time, and hopefully it will get addressed, as partial credit was always an option on matching questions (for example) in classic quizzes. We use Skyward as our SIS, and have had a lot of issues this fall since the upgrade this summer with grade passback. Some have been figured out, but new ones keep cropping up. Here is our latest.
A teacher syncs grades to Skyward. For one of many reasons, they change a few students' grades in Speedgrader. The new scores show there. The teacher goes to resync the grade. In the past, this would overwrite the scores in Skyward and put the new score in. Now, nothing will override the initial score, which is causing some major issues for teachers and for kids' and parents' anxiety. (For example, something is synced on accident before a question is hand-graded, resulting in a low score that the teacher thought was overridden on the resync. Cue the panicked emails and phone calls!)
Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a way to make it sync the most recent grades?

One of our instructors is having various students have an issue with submitting through the Student App. When they submit, they get the message that it was submitted successfully, but the rest of the info on the screen does not indicate that. At first, we assumed the kid had doctored the screenshot, to be honest. You can see that screenshot here. But, now there are various kids having the same issue. They get the successful submission message while the screen shows no submission date/time, and no attempts used. Both of those show in a normal submission screen, an example of that is here.
Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips?

My suggestion would be to not put the link to the module in the google slide itself, but instead create an image/"button" on your home page right by the google slide. I also tried to put Canvas links into a google doc that I then embedded in my homepage at the beginning of the year, but having the path be out of Canvas, through an embed, through the Google doc/presentation and back to Canvas tended to create A LOT of issues. I switched to linking right in the homepage, and now I can link to anything in Canvas. If you choose to go this route, create the button image, and then you can just select it, click on the link icon in the toolbar, choose Course Links, and choose your module from there.

When you set the date/time on a page, it will show up in the calendar and the to do list with that date/time noted. Basically, it's like setting the due date on an assignment or quiz.

Good morning! I have a potentially silly question here. I tried this, and yes, the navigation bar is removed from the embed. But it seems to me that they can still click through the presentation in order by simply clicking on the slide? That it won't stop them from doing that, only nudge them without the visible tool bar?

Canvas reps? Any suggestions or info? Is this happening because of a change on the Canvas end or the Skyward end? Do we know that much? I have had more teachers contacting me about this and it is something that we need to be able to disable or make a choice. These teachers DO NOT want this feature as they use Canvas comments way differently than Skyward comments.
