[ARCHIVED] Editing Assignment Group Weights from one qtr to another within Term?

So, with the move to all online learning, our science teachers would like to edit the grade weight for Lab assignments from Qtr 3 to Qtr 4. I'm fairly certain changing weight on the group within the term will change for both quarters - am I wrong?

If this is the case, is there another way to redistribute grade weight to reflect that labs are not taking place?

My only thoughts were:

to add 0 point "labs" in Qtr 4

OR

redistribute similar weighted assignments (in this case Quizzes, for example) between the two assignment groups. Does any of this make sense? Any ideas?
