[ARCHIVED] Editing Canvas discussions from iPad student app

Is it just me, or is it possible to edit comments as da student from within the Canvas student iPad app? I am able to do so on the same thread from a website browser, so I know the option is turned on, but in the student iOS app, the only option under three dots is “mark as unread.”  

I plan to do a lot more discussion posts as we teach remotely, and all our undergrads have iPads so knowing how to find this functionality would be very useful.

I can't find any documentation but like you I can confirm that I don't see the option available to edit discussion posts.

My students are not able to edit discussion posts from their iPads either.  Is a fix for this in the works?

@MrsS  Allow editing in the Student App - Canvas Community is the idea conversation currently underway around this request.

I can't see any progress on this as of 2021.  I have posted to the discussion mentioned above.

I would like to see this feature added to the Canvas Student app as well. As I workaround, I found that students can edit their discussion posts if they login to Canvas via the Safari or Chrome browsers.
