[ARCHIVED] Embed a File into Discussion Board

I am trying to upload files into the discussion forum.  When I go through Canvas, through the settings, clicked on files, then clicked on upload, it comes back with error 400.  Could I please have help with embedding files to the discussion board.  Thank you

Some clarity is needed here:

1) Are you setting up a discussion as an instructor ?

or

2) Are you adding files to a discussion as a student?

I am a student and need to embed an image to the discussion board, not attach a file.
