Is there a way for zeros to automatically be entered once an assignment is past due?

Howdy @scoday ,
Thanks for posting your question. If you are using the New Gradebook, you can use the Missing Policy to automatically assignment 0s.
How do I use the New Gradebook?
How do I apply a Missing Submission policy in the New Gradebook?
While it is not automatic, after grading the submitted assignments you can use default grade (0 points; and do not overwrite) to enter 0s en masse. This can be done using the New Gradebook or traditional gradebook.
