The submission is a .docx file, submitted in speedgrader. I'm running current Firefox. Only a third of the document is showing, with no indication that there should be more to it. The document has images and text, and the document is not damaged in any way.
Since I generally have trusted speedgrader, I gave the student 33% on the assignment because that's all that was submitted.
The student replies back that they did all the work! Lo and behold, if I download the document and open it in Word, the whole document is there. Grade fixed, moving on.
However, the real problem is that this undermines trust in the speedgrader. Rather than trust what I see on the screen, I need to download all files and open them locally, so I am not erroneously punishing students for a canvas issue.

1. Speedgrader is not trustworthy. If speedgrader has an error displaying a piece of work, it should report this to the instructor so additional action can be taken.
