Hello All,
I am barely starting my first class so I am very new at this.
To complete the Fast Facts Discussion assignment I was told I need to find a sub-topic with my peers but I'm not sure how to join the specific group needed for this assignment. I'd appreciate it if someone could assist me. Thank you.

Hello @kimelend ...
I'm not sure if you realized this or not, but you have posted your question to the global Canvas Community website where people from all over the world come to ask questions, suggest new Feature Ideas, participate in focus groups, collaborate with others, review written and video tutorials, and a whole lot more...all about Canvas. Your question sounds very specific to a course you are taking at your school. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people here in the Community wouldn't be able to answer your question because we do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or your course(s) in question. The best thing to do is to reach out to your instructor directly. You can do so by following the steps in this Guide:
How do I get help with Canvas as a student? - Canvas Community
I hope this will be of help...good luck to you!

Hi @kimelend
While my friend @Chris_Hofer is correct, you really do need to ask your teacher how to complete assignments, and any other course=specific questions, I do have some help.
This Canvas Student Guide lesson, How do I join a group as a student? will help you, but only if your teacher has set the groups in your course to be self-joining.
Good luck,
Kelley
