I received an email from an instructor that stated several of her students are unable to get the Google Drive Cloud Assignment to load in Canvas. It loads without ever showing up (see image below). Students have tried different browsers and logging in from different locations, but nothing has changed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what finally fixed the problem for the student I was working with:
What I think happened is that at one point the student must have authorized with a personal google account and that is why they were just seeing the spinning circles. Once a re-authorized wit the correct Google account the problem was resolved.
We have had the same issue for the last few days in our district too. The file will load for the teacher, but spins for students. I'm worried it has to do with the depreciation of the Google Docs Cloud Assignments feature in Canvas due to the new Google Assignments feature. I'm hoping I'm wrong on that one as it's not supposed to be removed until September of 2021.
I'm wondering if having students clear their cache or cookies will help? Unfortunately I'm trying to troubleshoot for a lot of remote students. I'd appreciate any suggestions as well!
