[ARCHIVED] Grade audit shows muted assignments

I did a grade audit and all of my assignments are muted except for a few (quizzes, exam 1, and a few others). When I check the assignments, modules, and gradebook, all 1000 course points are accounted for-- 

When I export the grades, the final grade for all students is F. I have no idea what is happening.

It's final week, and I have the final tomorrow. I have to figure this out.

Hi,  @jvicente1 . Canvas has the ability to calculate a total ("final") grade based on several different variables but when you export the grades what you see is more of a straightforward calculation based on the total points possible and the points earned by students. Since you have hidden some grades in Canvas it does not surprise me that you are seeing a different calculation there versus what you see in an exported CSV file that is then opened in another program.

Hi Adam, Thanks. In the gradebook, the assignments not hidden. I am missing something here.When I am in the audit, and I click to unmute the assignment, I am to do so, but when I check back in the audit the grades are still muted ( I am hitting the save button). I d appreciate the feedback.

Hey, Julia. I'm not familiar with the, "in the audit" and the second screenshot you shared originally looks like it might be a view of the gradebook after it was exported. However, to get to the bottom of this I think we should look at how things are set up in Canvas. Take a look at How do I hide grades that were previously posted in the Gradebook? to see if that information helps explain what state the assignments are currently in and how the grade is being calculated.
