If you'll have no gradebook passback then a multi-subject template could work for elementary. Our elementary plan is to recommend picking one (the one used most consistently) as the news/parent info course. There is a link on homepage called... I'll just put some screenshots of the homepage here.
A plan for one stop for parents/students for info in elementary could be one of two that occur to me. You could either have the parent, student, contact me type pages have solely a dynamic embedded Google doc so you can change it in one place and have it identical for all your courses OR you could have the links on the homepage for all but one course open in a new tab and point to the one course that has those pages developed (they would be jumping into a different subject which is why the open in a new tab is key and why maybe the Google option is better).
This is our newly adjusted homepage that has only one subject button (taking you to Modules) whereas before it had a grid of several subject buttons. I include in the template of the course several subjects/colors for each button so the instructor can set it up.
