[ARCHIVED] Grade view is confusing for students

I'm finding the new layout for the student grades page to be highly confusing for both myself and my students. Case in point: I have a student who thinks he got 90% in the class and thinks he deserves an "A", based on what he sees when he looks at his grade in the attached view, however, this only reflects how much of the work was done in the course. It doesn't demonstrate the value of that work. I do not use percentages when I grade, I use points. What I want to see in the Canvas grader is points, and only points, NOT percentages, not for anything. How do I fix this?
Here's a screen shot that illustrates what I'm talking about.

Hi, Sabrina,
Are you using weighted assignment groups in your course? If not, you can set the total grade to display as points. See How do I use the Total column in the Gradebook?
If you are using a GPA grading scheme that aligns with percentages, you can have the equivalent grading scheme display as well: How do I use grading schemes in a course?
And you also have the option to not show anything if you don't want to: How do I use grading schemes in a course? (The student experience of setting that option is set in this lesson: How do I view my grades in a current course?)
Hope that helps!
Erin
