The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December.

In order to give students a quick look at what their midterm letter grade is, I created an "Assignment" with worth 0 points called "Midterm Letter Grade" and "Final Letter Grade". However, when the letter grade shows up to students, it's in parentheses next to a "0", which can cause students alarm seeing a 0 in their gradebook (even though I try explain in an announcement).
Our campus Ed Tech team was not able to come up with another solution and suggested I post it here.
