[ARCHIVED] Gradebook clutter

When I import course content from a previous course, the assignments come with and a column is automatically generated in the gradebook. Sometimes I will use those assignments, sometimes not. Is there a way to delete the columns in the gradebook until I actually assign the assignment to students? TIA,

Hello @jeneen_hill …

Pretty much all columns on your “Grades” page are associated with items that you’ll find listed on your “Assignments” page.  So, if you don’t want a specific column in your “Grades”, you’ll have to delete that assignment on your “Assignments” page.  If you “unpublish” the assignment on the “Assignments” page, then there should be an indicator (crossed out eye icon) on the “Grades” page indicating that the assignment is hidden from student view.
