[ARCHIVED] Gradebook from last term disappeared

I am a teacher and I need to access a past gradebook from fall term.  When I go into the course, and to the gradebook,all the grades are missing. It shows only one random assignment.  How do I get those grades back into that gradebook?  Any help is appreciated. We did submit a ticket but are hoping one of you experienced folks can help!

First, are you asking as a teacher of a student?

Grades do not disappear from the Gradebook, ever! I have been using Canvas since 2012, and have been a Canvas Admin that entire time, and I have never seen grades disappear from a gradebook. In fact, it is very, very hard to purposefully delete grades; although I have seen it done.

Without looking, I suspect that you or someone else reset your course, one of the few ways you can clear a Gradebook, not to mention the entire course!

If you are a teacher, then you need to turn in a Support ticket pronto, they may be recoverable. Click Help, then choose "Report a Problem".

If you get it figured out, come back and let us know. It could be helpful to others.
