I'm an admin and want to give a school administrator a permission setting to act as a teacher for all of our school courses in Canvas. She wants to add assignments in Canvas to courses that she currently does not teach. What do I need to do? Do I need to add her as an account admin in order to give her that type of access? I would like to keep her as a teacher if possible. Thanks.
rpsimon, the Act As permission is strictly limited to root level admins, so yes, she would need to have an account-level admin role to Act As any user.
Is the goal to give this teacher permission to add content to courses other than their own? Someone might be able to suggest an alternative role and workflow that wouldn't require the Act As permission.
I ended up just giving her Account admin status.
