I am just starting to format the course and I want to edit the title of the course

Please check out the information in this Guide: How do I change a course name and course code? ... paying close attention to the information in the blue box at the top of that page...as you may or may not be able to edit the course title on your own.  If not, you may need to speak with your school's local Canvas administrator or someone in your school's Online Learning/eLearning department who would be able to help you with this.
