How do I delete a student's quiz score and attempt? The student submitted without finishing the quiz. I need to delete his attempt and score and have him retake it.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @tdcrow
You can't delete a quiz submission, but you can give an extra attempt to one student using the moderate function as described on this page: Once I publish a quiz, how can I give my students extra attempts?
The grade for his most recent attempt will then show and you can ignore the previous grade.

Unless you are averaging the grades of the attempts (which I was doing...grrrrrr). There's not much way out in this case.
How is this not an option? If there is a technical issue and the student fails the first attempt and it wasn't their fault, then you are averaging grades, giving them an extra attempt does NOT solve the issue.
The FINISH and NEXT button are both in upper right corner and they should be located FAR apart!! My student accidentally hit the finish button when he meant next after three questions - so all is lost and there's no way to fix this?! Not cool.
