[ARCHIVED] How do I get the Modules and Announcements to Show for students on the navigation side of the home page?

Great question. 

If you want these to appear in the students course navigation then you need this guide:

I jumped for joy when I realised I could remove things from the course navigation. Not only did it tidy things up it gave students less access to things I didn't really want them to access in total. I prefer to give them access within modules and pages.
