Hi
I currently have the grade posting policy set to Manual on an assignment. I want to release the results on a set date. How can I do this ?
I know I can go in on a set date and click Post...but i want to be able to set a date so i dont have to remember. I'm sure this must be somewhere obvious but i cnat see it in any guide or search?
Please help.

Hi, @greg_dabelstein . I don't think you are missing anything. I believe you have to go in and select Post on the day you want them released.
This seems like a feature that Canvas should have available.
I have a hard time believing the Powers That Be make it possible to delay posting an Announcement until a specific date and time, but didn't make it possible to do the same with grades for an assignment.
Hello @greg_dabelstein and @steinert ...
I found an existing Idea here in the Community called [Gradebook Settings] "Grade Release Date" Option i... - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com). You'll see that this particular Idea is part of a larger identified Theme called
I know this might not be a direct answer to your question, but I hope it helps in some way. Sing out if you have any questions...thanks!
I'm also keen on this and have read through some of the larger theme which doesn't quite cover off on this. What we'd also be considering is the ability to (sub-account wide) auto-release grades after a defined period of time to match policy (e.g. 10 working days after either due date or student submission date seems most logical). With multiple sections starting/ending at different times, equitable adjustments and general extensions, it can be difficult to track from a teacher level. I'm wondering if this has been approached from the admin level by anyone?
