How do I save the course content for future resources/reference?

If you are the instructor of the course, then follow this lesson from the Canvas Instructor Guide: How do I export a Canvas course? 

If you are a student, you may be able to export the course content as an ePub file. This is controlled by the instructor and so the option may not be available. You cannot download the ePub file once the course is over. See this lesson from the Canvas Student Guide for more information: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10682-4212716123
