[ARCHIVED] How do you mute assignments before entering grades into the gradebook to avoid parents receiving notifications as soon as scores are entered? Where did the mute button go in the gradebook?

Hi  @mallersb ‌, Canvas made changes to the muting policy over the summer, but if you just switched over to the new gradebook, you may not be familiar with that change yet. In your gradebook, click the ellipse icon at the top of the assignment column, and select grade posting policy. You'll want to set your policy to manual before you start entering grades. After entering grades, you'll go back to that menu and post the scores.
