[ARCHIVED] How to build the grade book in the Canvas page

To whom it may concern,

I'm writing to ask a question about the grade book in the Canvas page. I'm serving as a TA, and my professor wants me to set up the course Canvas page. Specifically, he wants to add a record for students to track their grades and/or see an explanation of their grades, for the tests, attendance, and the in-class assignments, with the weighted contribution to their final grade. So, it seems I need to set up the grade book in the Canvas page, but I have no idea about how to do it. Can I get your help in building the grade book in the Canvas?

To build the grade book in Canvas you will first need to build assignments.  I would recommend starting here:
