I want to revise an exam and use questions from another exam already in the same canvas course.

I apologize, I miss-read that. The easiest way it to take advantage of Question Banks. If you go to the Quizzes page and then click the three dots next to the "+ Quiz" and choose "Manage Quiz Banks" . There should then be a bank called "Unfiled Questions" that will have all the questions you have not added to a bank but have added in a quiz.
Then on the new exam, choose "Find Questions" when creating the questions and you can then find the one(s) that are in the unfiled group that you are wanting to add.
Hello @albertj .
There are a few different ways to accomplish this, one with commons and one without. Chris Hofer answered this question very well for another user for how to use the non-commons way. Here is his response:
Copy assignments from course to course
If you want to use Commons and then bring it into the other course please see the below article.
I prefer Chris's method unless I need to add it to multiple other courses, then the commons import is nice as you are able to select all the course to add it to at one time.
Hope this helps!
Sorry but that is not my question. How do I copy a single question not a whole exam from one exam in a canvas course to another exam in the same course.? Please try again

Thank you, unfortunately we didn't put them into groups when they were entered (still learning) so all 700+ questions are together.
I'm following this. I have a quiz which I'd like to recycle the commonly missed questions onto a new quiz. Many of them are in banks but I have to remember which banks, etc. I wish I could just copy them over.
