[ARCHIVED] How to find the date of when I published a Discussion board post?

Hi!

I posted and set up lock date for weekly scheduled discussion post. This was the week of Thanksgiving. The following week I opened the discussion board to grades the posts but no one had posted. I then decided to unlock to allow time for comments only for that day until the late afternoon. My view shows the date in which I remember publishing along with a time. Also, the 'publish' box is faded green and has a check mark. Students reported not being able to see the post/assignment all that week just could only see it the day i opened to extend time for just that day. Is there any way to uncover the actual date the discussion was posted? What if I thought it was published but it wasn't...

Unfortunately, I do not know of any way on the front-end of Canvas to get the information you are looking for.  There may be ways that you could obtain this programmatically (maybe via API???), but that is well beyond my scope of knowledge.  Hopefully someone else here in the Community will see your question and be able to provide some insights for you.  Good luck!
