How to get the list of courses that have rosters?

If the course status is active (from Provisioning report-Courses), does that mean the course has roster?

And, how to get the list of all the students from courses that have rosters in the past year? Thanks very much!

I have tried to get the students from the Provisioning report-enrollment. But the student list looks including much more students than expected.

 @liuz21 ​, I'm not sure of the answer to this question, but I'm going to share it with the Canvas Developers​ group (they do the back-end programming and API stuff) to see if anyone there can help as well.
