[ARCHIVED] I cannot find a re-upload option to return papers

Hi 

I created a quiz that required the students to upload a pdf file.  I was able to download all student submissions as a single zip file on to my computer and grade each one of them.  Now, I would like to re-upload the files but I am unable to find the re-upload file option as mentioned in this link https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-upload-all-student-submissions-for-an-a...

Is there any course settings that I need to change in order to make this option available.

I also am unable to do this. I am wondering whether the re-upload option is only available for assignments. If so, that seems a little short-sighted.

@thorine is correct on this one.  The Guide that you included in your question is for assignments...not quizzes.  So, it isn't possible to do what you are wanting in quizzes the same way the Guide describes for assignments.

So... two and a half years later and this is still not an option? I have to use a quiz because it is a timed take-home exam (students can take it any time during a 24 hour window, but they have two hours to submit it once they download the exam questions). I don't believe this is possible with an assignment (please correct me if I'm wrong). 

Is there a work-around, like creating an assignment just for re-uploading a take-home exam? This is very inconvenient to do one at a time for any class size over a dozen or so!

As far as I know, all of the above is still true.  As you may know, current Classic Quizzes aren't being developed any more (or at least very, very little) because it will eventually be phased out so that all Instructure schools will be using New Quizzes.

As for assignments, I'm not sure how you could accomplish this.  You can certainly set availability "from" and "until" dates, but there's nothing that would tell students that they have a two-hour window once they start looking at the assignment details within your 24-hour window.  You can set the number of attempts in assignments, but I don't think that's what you are wanting to do.

What kinds of question types are you asking your students?  Are there types of questions that couldn't be put into a Canvas quiz?  For example, do you have multiple choice and true/false questions?  Other types of questions?
