Hi there, @DianeWoods ...
I'm not sure if you are an instructor or a student, but there are some helpful resources for you here in the Community that you can take a look at whenever you want. There is this Canvas Basics Guide which has several links for you to look through. But, even before going there, I would highly recommend that you watch some short tutorial videos first. As you can see from this video list, they are all grouped by the kind of role you have in Canvas...so if you are a student, check out the "Students" section. I would also suggest you watch the videos under "All Users". And, if you are a student, I would also recommend the video under the "Resources" heading: Getting Started with Canvas as a Student. Then, if you really want to take a deeper dive, you can return to that first link I provided. And...if you want to go deeper yet, there's even more written Guides for you to look through...again, based on your role at your school.
I hope this will be enough information for you to get started, Diane. The Community is a great place to get help, too. There are all kinds of people here in the Community that are ready and willing to help you with any other Canvas questions you have. Take care, stay safe, and be well.
