Hello Sal,

Generally speaking, the email and login name settings on your account are separate fields, and changing one will not automatically change the other.

If you are logging into your school's Canvas server, you will want to contact the Canvas or IT Help Desk about changing your login.

If you are using the "free" Canvas service at https://canvas.instructure.com , you will want to contact Canvas Support through the "Help" link at the bottom of the dashboard menu after you log in.
