Looking into this, and seeing that your question has been asked to the community before.

Canvas does not have a feature to directly import quiz questions from a Word file.  You can copy and paste individual parts of questions to create them in Canvas, but not the entire file at once.  There is a 3rd party product named Respondus 4.0 which does import Word files formatted in a specific manner into Canvas.  

@Chris_Hofer has included that if complete write up if needed.

There are other methods, like @ProfShar has included. However, we do not have a built in function for importing quizzes from word files in Canvas currently.
