[ARCHIVED] Is it possible for an assignment set up using the LTI Google Drive integration to also accept online submissions?

Students edit Google Slides docs, which can be submitted as their work using the External tool and Google drive asssignments.  Is it possible for students who want to print the assignment, then write and draw on it, to be able to submit a scan/pdf/png file?

What I am really asking is when there is a GDrive submission through the external tool, can there be alternate or multiple methods of submitting.

We would like this also!  Just had teachers and students ask about this last week and I advised them to think ahead about the assignment and make that a different type of assignment (not a cloud assignment, rather a regular file submission assignment) to allow multiple uploads.  If the student was submitting and image or slide, they could insert it into the Google Doc and submit.  But one of the desires our class wanted was to submit PDF of handwritten notes after the essay was submitted in the Cloud assignment.
