Is it possible to publish a course and then add modules and new content afterwards?

and which has been responded to with the following:

Absolutely, you can always go into your course and add new content and I regularly add things as the semester progresses. Yet, be aware that if your course is published then as you add new content students will get notified each time you add something and it gets published (this also depends on their notification preferences).
