We are adding an addendum for the current pandemic. As an admin, can an addendum be posted for syllabuses, without doing it manually?

Would it affect the document they have uploaded?

Or would it be something that appears in the syllabus section?

modifying all syllabi(w/all those differences) without the professors/teachers permission you are in uncharted territory here. Let me know what resolution you come up with I am truly interested.

You can add a global announcement, you can add a navigation button to each courses that directs them to a location about the virus. You might be able to modify the global custom JavaScript to insert something.

Modifying the syllabus needs done on a course-by-course basis using the update course endpoint of the Courses API. The course[syllabus_body] is what you need to change. You'll need to fetch the existing one first so that you can modify it, otherwise you'll wipe out any content, including links to files, in the syllabus.
