To Our Amazing Educators Everywhere,
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
I'm having a running battle saving pages on my self hosted canvas.
I can create pages just fine and be able to add content(typing) but when I copy text from a website or any other source, it fails to save the changes.
I've tried to re-install just in-case I missed any step but issue keeps re-occurring. This is driving me nuts.
Are you able to copy and paste from, say, a Word document? It's possible that when you paste content copied from a website, it's pasting in formatting that Canvas doesn't support. I know when I try to use HTML code that Canvas doesn't like, it can look fine in edit mode and then just disappear when I save.
Hi Obinna,
It maybe the HMTL coding, I had this problem a few days ago and I had to manually add each section to the page, click save and see if it updates.
The issue with ours was the import from commons was incorrect, if yours is external I would suggest that you take a look at the HMTL coding and see if you can find an error. Or even as Tracey mentions above pasting the content to a word document and copying from there.
I hope this helps!
