 Does someone know how to issue student status when adding students to Canvas using the +People button?

Part of me thinks you're asking about something else, but I'm not really sure.  This Guide walks you through how to manually enroll a user in a course an specify if that user is a student, instructor, TA, or some other role.  How do I add users to a course?
