[ARCHIVED] Make the default points for a quiz question zero

I created a Canvas Quiz.  The last "question" was for an optional file upload for students to show their work.  I made it out of 0 points.  I am using it manually to award partial credit to questions that were not scored correct automatically.  The grades will not show up in the grade book, though both the students and I can see their grades when reviewing the submissions.  The grades will not be visible because of Canvas considers the quizzes as waiting for me to manually grade something.  Is there a way to make all the quizzes considered fully graded or to set the default grade of 0 to this last question?  I think this issue is related to the "spacer" problem that existed a few years ago.  The only "solution" I can see right now is to manually put a 0 into this last question, but that will be a lot of 0's (135 students, about 7-10 quizzes).

I have a related issue. I added a 0 point free response question at the end of a quiz, and it wanted me to hand-grade them. I decided to be clever and delete the question as I pulled the info I needed from it. But, the student responses still have the question, although the question is no longer in the quiz, and I still need to hand-grade them.

Maybe there can be a ungraded question category for this type of situation?

As far as I know there is not a way of assigning quiz questions in a graded Canvas quiz a "zero" and have the quiz be auto-graded with grades deposited in the gradebook, you will have to go an manually grade each quiz. However, Canvas does have the option for graded or non-graded surveys. Graded allows you to give students points for answering the questions and ungraded surveys has the option to complete anonymously. Unfortunately you cannot mix and match graded quiz questions with survey style (no right or wrong) type of questions in the same assessment.
