[ARCHIVED] Marks or Grades

Hi

So I'm one of the account admins, and I have noticed something with the menu on the left of courses.

Sometimes it says Marks, and in other courses it may says Grades, see the image below. From 2 different courses in the same sub-account.

They still take me to the gradebook for the course, but I'm wondering is it the same in anyones elses instance of Canvas?

Hello there, @ian10 ...

I don't see an attached image to your question.  However, this sounds like your school may have done some customization of those course buttons?  Do the icons for "Grades" and "Marks" look the same?  Do any of the other Canvas administrators at your school have the ability to make back-end changes like this?  Everything in the Guides refers to this area of a course as "Grades", but I do recognize that other parts of the world may refer to them as "Marks".  (That was new terminology to me when I first saw it a few years ago here in the Community.)
