[ARCHIVED] Minimum and Maximum on discussion board length

I would like the ability to post a minimum and maximum response length in my discussion boards.  So that I decide whether this discussion board requires a brief response or a long response.  The word count feature is good, but this would be a "maximum" # of words on the discussion boards.

The ability to control the word count leads to a better conversation on the boards. It prevents:

1. War and Peace Posts

2. Specific students dominating the debate when combined with a post limit

It promotes:

1. Clear and concise posts

2. A sharper focus on the issues

3. Increased participation

4. Increases student satisfaction.

While it doesn't address the maximum limits, it's a good starting point. I think you could add to the conversation and discuss why it would be valuable to have the limitations for minimum and maximum. (There was a feature idea shared a couple of years ago that has since been archived.)‌
