[ARCHIVED] Missing Flag and Infinite Campus

Has there been a change in the way that Canvas syncs the "Missing" flag with Infinite Campus?

Several teachers are reporting the fact that suddenly their Infinite Campus gradebook has items that both (a) have a grade and (b) are marked as "missing."

I think that IC grade passback maybe just began syncing the status flag?

We are having the same issue with our Canvas/Infinite Campus sync.  The "missing" flag is now being reflected in Infinite Campus and it is causing issues with student's grades.

We are having the same issue.  Teacehrs have to make sure that in Canvas IF the assignment truly has a score such as 10/15 that they remove the missing code.  IF the missing code is selected such as the file I added here IC will count it as a zero.

It will be the most problematic for teachers who manually grade and enter scores.  Assignments that are autograded or submitted via Canvas digitally automatically remove the "m" when the assignment is received by Canvas.

@MrReed thank you again! These are AWESOME! FYI- we found out that there is a global setting in Infinite Campus that can be selected to stop marking missing assignments as 0. Therefore, even if the missing flag is present in Canvas, the score (we're hoping) will be transferred over too. We'll see but hopefully this feature in Infinite Campus will resolve some of the gpb issues. I'd love to revise your presentation so as to avoid confusion for our staff by informing them that the missing flag with a grade will now transfser that grade into IC (and hopefully IC will remove the missing flag...we shall see). If you are OK with that, will be please allow me to make a copy of your presentation?
