We are also experiencing issues with copying assignments/pages that include embedded Google files. Could that be related to these RCE issues?

This morning I have multiple teachers who are experiencing issues with copying a "New Quiz" between courses. The new quiz is created in a "Sandbox" course. Question stems include images added via "Insert > Image >Upload Image" The quiz is copied to a live course with students. Today the images are not being copied along with the quiz. Instead the quiz is linking to the image located in the "Files" section of the original, sandbox course. My teachers have not experienced this issue before, and the documentation says that the copy will include all linked files (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-copy-a-quiz-to-another-course-in-New-Quizzes/ta-p/1041) Is anyone else experiencing this issue suddenly? Is it a known issue/glitch, or a change in functionality?

My teachers are super excited that new quiz questions can be tagged with outcomes, and that this outcome data now populates in the Learning Mastery Gradebook! We love that students can view mastery data compiled for the entire semester in the Learning Mastery gradebook, but we would also like for students to be able to see this data for individual assignments/quizzes. Teachers can access a beautiful "Outcomes Analysis" report for each new quiz. Is there any way for students to view this type of assignment-specific outcome report?

Yesterday our teachers began to notice a change with their Canvas gradebook. Under the "Actions" menu, teachers have always had a "Sync to SIS" option. Suddenly there is also a "Sync to InfiniteCampus" option for several (but not all) courses. Our teachers are confused and don't know which to use. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Was this a planned change?

Now I have a teacher who is seeing new & different behavior. She created the quiz & aligned outcomes in 1 course...and the data DID populate in the Learning Mastery gradebook. She copied the quiz to another course. Here, the standard information will display in the "Outcomes Analysis" report, but does NOT show in the Learning Mastery gradebook. I'm trying to provide guidance, but I can't seem to track down any new information on this feature or its implementation.

Several teachers in my district were able to fix this issue by disabling all of their Chrome extensions. We are still investigating to see which extension was the culprit, but at least this is a workaround for now.

In our district, we have a few teachers who are experiencing this issue still. Using a different browser is not a solution, since our teachers are using Chromebooks. Clearing the cache has not worked to resolve the issue. In addition, level 1 Canvas support seems completely unaware that this is a known issue (even though the "fix" posted here instructs people to contact Canvas support). We need a true fix for this situation!

Our district utilizes Grade Passback with Infinite Campus. This year, it seems like there has been a change: In the Canvas gradebook, if an assignment does not have a numerical grade, but is marked MISSING....the missing flag isn't getting passed to the IC gradebook. Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

I have had a few teachers receive strange errors with a Google Assignments LTI 1.3 assignment. The assignment is created successfully. Later, when the teacher clicks on the assignments in their module, they receive an error message (Couldn't Find Valid Settings for this Link) and their course homepage loads instead. Some of the assignments included an embedded Google file in the rich text editor...and that prensentation's link was somehow listed in the External Tool box (under submission type). I cannot replicate this error or fix it. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Any clue on causes or solutions?

Previously, Badgr Pro required an extra subscription cost. Now that Canvas has acquired Badgr and it is being rebranded as Canvas Credentials...does anyone know if those Badgr Pro features will still require an extra cost? Or will those features be included in our Canvas subscription?

The best workaround that we have found at this moment: Students can open the Google file & select "File > Download > PDF Document." Then, they are allowed to upload that resulting PDF to Canvas. Submitting using the "Google Drive LTI 1.3" tab converts the file to PDF anyway, so the end result is the same. Just more steps for the students 😞

On a "File Upload" submission type, when students select "Google Drive LTI 1.3", we are now seeing a message that there is a file size limit of 10 MB. This is problematic for teachers that are using Google Slides as digital notebooks with images and videos. Is this size limit a new addition? I have never seen this message before yesterday, and I can't find any mention of it in the documentation.

Good News: I am able to create a Google Assignment this morning without receiving the error message. Has anyone heard an official announcement that the issue is fixed? I haven't heard any official word from Canvas support since they closed my ticket two days ago, saying that this was not a Canvas issue.

Suddenly, we are seeing strange behavior from the Savvas external tool integration. When teachers create the assignment & select "External Tool" submission type, they are able to select Savvas and pick their Savvas assignment. However, when saving the assignment in Canvas...Canvas saves the current assignment as a blank assignment to the module and creates a 2nd assignment (with the correctly embedded Savvas item) in the "Assignments" location. Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

My teachers are not able to create Google Assignments today. We are able to select "Google LTI" as submission type, access the Google Drive, and select a file. However, when we press the button to return to Canvas, we receive this error: "One or more content items sent by this external app failed to process correctly. These have not been saved by Canvas, and the reasons for failure are listed below. lineItem.scoreMaximum is a required field"

We are seeing a strange issue with our rosters syncing from Infinite Campus. When a student has a schedule changed before the first day of school, counselors are not able to place an end date on the section enrollment in Infinite Campus. This means that these students are not included anywhere on the roster import from IC. They are not listed at all (not even as concluded enrollment) Canvas does not know to remove these students from the Canvas roster. As a result, hundreds of students who had a schedule change before the semester began are lingering on incorrect Canvas rosters indefinitely. Has anyone seen this behavior? Any fixes beyond manually removing those students as teachers notice them on the roster?

Canvas will upload NGSS standards for you. After a few weeks of requesting, I found that their upload was not formatted appropriately. Several of the "assessment boundaries" and "clarifying statements" were inappropriately listed as actual standards. I worked up my own version of an upload CSV. If it is useful, feel free to use it.
