I am a student and my University uses Canvas. I submitted an assignment and the lecturer changed the due date of that assignment to grant an extension, after I had already submitted. The submission is not showing. Could the change in the assignment due date delete my submission? can that submission be recovered?

@CassimCoovadia That's certainly distressing! Yes, it's possible that the instructor made an error when changing the due date, especially if they were granting extensions for a specific section or a specific student. The instructions for differentiating assignments are in How do I assign an assignment to a course section? (this is an instructor lesson) and sometimes instructors will accidentally delete Everyone from the Assign to field when changing the due date selectively. Your best course of action would be to contact the instructor directly to ask for additional guidance. Good luck!
