How do I get a prepared module url?
Solved! Go to Solution.
HI @mala_jayatillek , great question.
You had me going in to see if I could get a module URL. Looks like I couldn't. BUT all is not lost. I was thinking that if you grab the URL of the first element of the module that will be all you need. It could be a page, assignment, discussion, quiz... whatever is first.
Sing out if you need a hand.

Thanks Bobby. I came on looking for exactly this question. I have made the first item of the module an introductory page which has links to everything else in the module.
Glad it was helpful @s_g_bott n.
Sounds like you are on the right track.
Yeah, how to get a URL for a specific module?
As has been mentioned, one doesn't need an actual URL to add a link to Canvas content (use "Course Links" instead). However, the URL would be useful in other situations, like sending a message with a deep link that navigates to the specific module.
The clunky method I've used is temporarily editing some course content--any page I can safely play with momentarily--adding the course link to the module, and copying the URL that gets created (then re-editing the page to remove the link).
