[ARCHIVED] New 'Act As' Account Role doesn't display in the role drop down

When I choose to Edit a user's course role the new account role 'Act As' is not listed in the drop down.  I want to give teachers the 'users act as' permission.

The new role is also not available under Settings / Admins:

it doesn't look like your second photo came through - but if I'm understanding correctly you  want to give your instructors (with the role of Teacher) the ability to use the "act as" permission, is that correct?

Instead of creating a second role,  the easiest option is going to be to edit the existing "Teacher" role and enable that specific permission for them.

From your first screenshot your new "Act As" role  was created as an account-level role, not a course-level role - meaning anybody that's granted that role will have account-level permissions, not just within their course.
