[ARCHIVED] (New Quizzes) Is there any way to uncheck a selected answer in a multiple choice?

Hi everyone,

When a student has selected an option in a multiple choice, then he/she can't uncheck an option and leave it blank. 

The reason why I'm asking this is because blank options don't apply a penalty, while inorrect answers take away points. So the student is forced to select an option if he/she has selected already one.

We have also been trying to get this resolved as it is unfair to students. We also realised that  setting up MCQ's with negative marking in New Quizzes doesn't give you an allowance to cater for students who leave a question blank?
