When a student joins your course midway through a grading term, what is the best way to "excuse" them from the assignments that were assigned prior to their arrival? The to-do list is long and the grade isn't correct because it shows them missing many assignments. Is there an easier way then selecting "excused" in the grade tray for every assignment that they missed?

I have found that going to the Gradebook view and typing "ex" into the grade book where the score would normally be, and then just skipping to the left or right with the arrow key is the fastest way that I have found. I would love to know a shorter shortcut too.
