[ARCHIVED] No Announcements in Student View?

I'm helping an instructor go through the features in Canvas and we cannot view Announcements that we post when we change to Student View.

Is this because the Notifications feature is disabled in Student View or are we missing something?

 @danoy99 , I'm not able to replicate this. I navigated to a course that has announcements posted in it, switched to Student View, clicked on the Announcements tab, and all of the announcements posted to the course appeared there.

If you're trying to look at the Dashboard in Student View to see the announcements there, you won't be able to view them: the Dashboard is disabled in Student View.

The only thing I can think of is that the announcements that have been posted to the course have future post dates associated with them, in which case you wouldn't be able to view them in Student View--and that would be the expected behavior.

The course was Unpublished, once I Published it we could view the Announcements.
