Long number instead of name showing up in Roster how does the teacher change it.

I've had this issue a year ago, but gave up.

In that thread, Michelle Ciccariello posted a solution in 2016. Timothy Moynihan had another solution in 2019.

PS: I had this issue when using FFT and enrolling students by email who already had Canvas accounts. If SIS integration, then probably inherited from another institution.

Hi  @thanos_reynolds 

This really is the result of how your SIS integration is sending student IDs to Canvas.   @jcarpenter1  is correct, you need to talk to your Canvas Admin.
