Hello! I have a faculty who would like, instead of ignoring scores for each student in an assignment group, would like to retain the highest scores in an assignment group. Is there an option or a work-around for this?
Thanks,
Nancy Webb

Nancy,
I remember that Angel Learning had a feature like this were you could choose to or keep the x number of highest scores in a Category (similar to an Assignment Group). If you know how many assignments there are going to be in an Assignment group you can accomplish the same thing, for instance with 10 Assignments and wanting to keep the 2 highest; set it to ignore the lowest 8. I've seen cases with this scenario where the instructor pre-sets all of those grades to 0. That way, as soon as 2 grades are entered those are being counted; even if the other 8 are never attempted. As they work on the other assignments those grades may replace the first 2 in terms of being counted if they are higher.
