Hi,
I was trying to create an assignment for my class on office 365 using the external tool option. It is already installed by the district. Assignment was created successfully on my end but when I went to the student view it gave a failure notification (something went wrong with authentication). What do I do?
Hi @bharti_lala ...
I don't think you will be able to use the "Student View" to test out the Office 365 LTI external tool in your course. The reason for this is that I believe O365 is looking for an e-mail address to authenticate, but the "Student View" technical does not have an e-mail address associated with it. So, in order to test this out, you would need to have a dummy student account listed within your "People" page where you could sign in to your course with that account as a student to test out the integration. Your school's local Canvas administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning/eLearning department would be able to help you with this.
I hope this info will be of help to you. Sing out if you have any other questions...thanks! Take care, stay safe, and be well.
I am unable to create an assignment using submission type....External Tool... Office 365 Cloud Assignment... It allows me to get to my OneDrive file and select a file but when I click ATTACH FILE, it just refreshes the same screen and doesn't attach the file. I've tried it with multiple files and in both Chrome and Edge and it doesn't work. Others teachers in my school are doing the same thing and it works fine. Not sure where to begin troubleshooting this one.
