I teach a Boolean Algebra / Digital Logic course and I just know some students are going to fail to follow my directions for how to format it to make Canvas recognize the answer. Is there an option to mark a question so that if it is marked wrong it flags the question for manual grading?

There isn't a way to flag incorrect quiz responses in New Quizzes other than the red Incorrect label that displays on each answer when you view results for an individual student.

Hi, Alexander,

I'm guessing you put the instructions for formatting in the Rich Content Editor field for the question itself? Naturally following instructions can be a bit difficult. You do, however, have a little of leniency in telling Canvas how you want questions to be answered by students and what you'll accept as appropriate responses. Unfortunately there's not a way to tell Canvas to flag a question for manual review outside the existing supported quiz types (essays, text entry, file upload). You may just need to review quiz questions that you are concerned about—if you are using Classic Quizzes, you can view the same question for all students at a time in SpeedGrader, which would let you flip through them pretty quickly (see How do I grade one quiz question at a time in SpeedGrader?) And you can always manually adjust the point totals for a quiz in SpeedGrader as well by using the same instructions shown here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-26345-how-do-i-grade-quiz-questions-in-speedgrader
