[ARCHIVED] Pairing code changes?

So every single time I want to observe my child's status on Canvas (I have twins) I have to get a NEW pairing code? So, if I sign in with the brand new pairing code, then sign out, and then, for whatever reason need to get back in, I have to acquire another NEW pairing code? Am I doing something wrong or is this how it's supposed to work?

If so, that's totally ridiculous...

You definitely shouldn't need to get a new pairing code every time you observe the same student! We've changed this from an idea conversation to a question posted to K12 and will ask one of our experts on parent/observers and pairing codes to help you troubleshoot.

I seem to be having the same issue. If I log out of the Parent Observer Canvas, and then try to log back in it doesn't recognize my password or username. Thus making me resign up, and get a new pairing code. This feels buggy.

You definitely should not need to "re pair" your account with your students each time you use the Canvas Parent app. It should remember your credentials each time. I encourage you to submit a ticket and ask your local Canvas Administrator to escalate it to Canvas Support at Instructure. How do I get help with the Canvas Parent app on my iOS device? 

Have you tried the QR code log-in? If you have credentials that work on the web, maybe that log-in "sticks"! How do I view a QR code to log in to the Canvas mobile apps as an observer?
